Writing Prompt - You sold your soul to the Devil some years ago. Today, he gives it back and says, "I need a favor."

“I have noticed that you have been getting a lot of attention since you have become a big shot celebrity.” The Devil begins, “I know it cost you a soul, how do you keep them liking you?”

“I think it’s the whole concept of hell," I begin. “And you being the Emperor of Darkness might drive some of that fear into people.”

The Devil shamefully looks to the ground. “Well, hell isn’t that bad. It really isn’t.  If you want to see earth’s version of Hell, check out Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The only bright side is that you can’t die if you are already dead.”

“But, hey, with my soul back, I will get you back into the limelight. “ I cheerfully said.

After weeks of trying to conjure up some sort of good deed for the Devil, I finally think that I might have something.  Terrorists at a third world country have taken over a school full of child. I know that the Devil, Prince of Hell, would be the last person you would expect to see at a place like that, but it was his big chance.

As I sat on my computer chair and watched the live broadcast, I knew that this would be the best time than ever to become a saint. I mean, how could this not be an opportunity? There are the bad guys and children involve and obviously a chance for redemption.

There, out of a thick cloud of black smoke, the prince of darkness appears before the monsters at the school. And in the thick cloud of smoke, seconds later, the men disappear. Parents begin to cheer and the children come racing out of the school, unharmed.

I even let out some cheers. Why wouldn’t I? I just got my soul back from the Devil. Seconds later, the Devil appears by my side.

“So, what are we going to do?” The Devil asked.

“We wait,” I replied. "There's video evidence you saved those kids."

“What about the terrorist that I dropped off at Wall Street?” The devil asked.
